Ask People to Send Files or Photos

   In the builder, add a File upload or Photo question from the palette.

   In the panel on the right, choose the Kinds of file people may send: documents, photos and images, spreadsheets, presentations, plain text, audio or video.

   Set Most files and Largest file (MB), up to what your level allows.

   Publish the form. When responses arrive, open one in Responses and select Download beside a file.

Good to Know

• Every file is checked for viruses before anyone can open it. A file that fails is deleted, and its response says so.
• Photos lose their location and camera details when they're checked.
• Audio and video need Forms Plus or Forms Team.
• Files take room in your workspace's storage: 100 MB on Forms Free, 10 GB on Forms Plus and 100 GB on Forms Team. Workspace Settings › Usage shows what's used.
• Deleting a response deletes its files and gives the room back.

If Something Goes Wrong

• A response says a file wasn't kept. It couldn't be checked. Ask the person to send it again.
• People can't send files any more. Storage is full. Delete responses you no longer need, or move up a level.
• You can't download a file. Owners, Admins and Builders download files. If you're an Analyst, ask an Owner or Admin.
