Add a Wi-Fi Network

Save a guest or staff network once, choose its sites, and say who gets it and where it shows.

  1. Go to ConsoleSettingsWi-Fi and select Add a Wi-Fi network. Or, on a site's page, select Add a guest network or Add a staff network.

  2. Choose who it's for: Visitors or Staff.
  3. Choose its Sites, then type the Network name exactly as phones list it.
  4. Choose the Security and type the Password. Use the eye to check what you typed.
  5. For visitors, choose Who gets it and Where it shows. For staff, choose who can use it, and whether Staff can see the password.

  6. Select Add network.

The password is sealed as soon as you save, and never shown again unless someone allowed to asks.

Good to Know

  • A network is never switched between visitors and staff. If they share one network name, save it twice.
  • One network name can serve several branches.
  • Staff networks can be Join only: the app joins for them and never shows the password.
  • A staff network marked Use for Wi-Fi clock-in counts as being at the site for phone clock-in.
  • Unsure of the security? WPA2 works with every phone.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • "Choose at least one site." Pick the sites the network is at.
  • "Give the network's name, exactly as phones show it." Names are case-sensitive: "Acme-Guest" isn't "acme-guest".
  • Visitors can't join. Check the name and password match your router. Agoo never changes anything on your router.
