Create a QR Code

Make a plain or tracked QR code for a website, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, a contact card, a poster or a PDF, with no ads or watermark.

  • Plans: Every plan
  • Updated 27 October 2026
  • 2 min read
  1. Go to ConsoleQR codes and select New QR code.

  2. Under What should it do?, choose the kind, such as Website, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, Contact card or PDF, and fill in its details.

  3. Turn on Track scans and change it later for a tracked code, or leave it off for a plain one. Some kinds are always one or the other.

  4. Under Design, choose its style, colours, logo and frame. The preview tells you whether it scans.
  5. Give it a Name and, if you like, Tags such as "Reception, Posters".
  6. Select Save code, then download it.

Good to Know

  • Plain codes hold their content and never change after printing. They're unlimited on every plan, and scanning one never reaches Agoo.
  • Tracked codes hold a short link, so you can change where they go after printing and count their scans. They come from your plan's tracked codes: 3 on Free, 25 on Starter, 200 on Growth, 1,000 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise.
  • Wi-Fi codes are always plain, because phones read them without going online. Posters, staff cards, app downloads and PDFs are always tracked.
  • The top of ConsoleQR codes shows how many tracked codes you're using.
  • QR packs add more tracked codes on any plan. The Owner adds them in ConsoleSettingsBilling.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • You don't see QR codes in the menu. Your organisation hasn't chosen you to make codes. Ask an Owner or Admin.
  • "Your tracked codes are all in use." Archive a tracked code you no longer need, make a plain code instead, or add a QR pack.
  • "Saved. It goes live when an admin approves it." Your organisation approves tracked codes first. It works once an Owner or Admin approves it.
  • The design can't be saved. It doesn't scan. Darken the code, lighten the background or make the logo smaller.
