Follow the Agoo Reviews Guidelines
Know what you may write, who you may name, and what businesses may and may not do, before you post.
- Updated 29 October 2026
- 1 min read
- Open agoo.reviews/guidelines, or select the guidelines link on the review form.
- Read Writing a review and Naming people before your first review.
- If you're reviewing a clinic, a school or a place of worship, read Places that need care.
- If you run a business, read Rules for businesses.
Good to Know
- Write about your own experience, from the last two years, good or bad.
- You may name a member of staff by first name and role, such as "Ama at the front desk". At health places, staff are described by role only.
- Leave out phone numbers, email addresses, links, threats, accusations of a crime and anyone's personal details.
- Nobody may be rewarded for a review, and staff and owners can't review their own business.
- When a review is held or removed lists every reason, the same whatever the stars.
- Content and the Database: you keep the rights in your words and let Agoo show them. Quoting a review with credit and a link is welcome; copying reviews or listings in bulk isn't. A business may show its own reviews, free.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Someone named in a review wants it changed. They can ask for it to be changed or removed with a report.
- You're not sure your review fits the rules. Send it: our checks tell you what to change before it's posted.
