Go to ConsoleDevices and open the device.
- Under Device PIN, type 4 to 8 digits.
- Select Set PIN, or Change PIN if it already has one.
You can also set the PIN straight after pairing, when the pairing window asks for it.
Good to Know
- Staff need the PIN to open the kiosk's device menu, and to unpair the kiosk from the device itself.
- Agoo turns down easy PINs such as 1234 or 0000.
- The app checks the PIN on the device, so the menu opens even offline. A kiosk in a browser checks it online.
- Wrong tries lock the menu for a while.
- Keep the device PIN different from the passcode you use for Guided Access or the tablet's screen lock.
If Something Goes Wrong
- The kiosk says "Set a device PIN first". No PIN has been set for it yet. Set one in Devices, then try again on the kiosk.
- Staff have forgotten the PIN. Set a new one in Devices with Change PIN. The kiosk picks it up when it next syncs.
- The menu is locked after wrong tries. Wait, then try again with the right PIN.
