Set Up Positions and Vacancies

   Go to ConsolePeoplePositions and select New position.

   Give it a Title and choose its Department and Site.

   Choose the position it Reports to, or leave it at the top.

   Add a Grade if you use them, and its Full-time equivalent: 1 for full time, 0.5 for half.

   Choose its Status and whether it's Budgeted in this year's headcount.

   Select Make it. It starts vacant until you fill it.

Good to Know

• Positions are optional. If you don't use them, nothing else changes.
• Frozen keeps a post without filling it. Closed keeps it for history when it's no longer needed.
• If you move to a plan without positions, the ones you made stay, with their holders and history. You can't make or fill new ones until you're back on Growth or above.

If Something Goes Wrong

• It can't be frozen or closed. Someone holds it. End their time in it first.
• Reports to refuses a choice. That would make a chain that loops back on itself.
• You see "Positions come with Growth, Pro and Enterprise". Your plan doesn't include positions. Departments work on every plan.
