Ask some questions only when an earlier answer calls for them, and on Forms Plus and Team require, jump, end early or work out totals.

- Open the form and select the Logic tab.
- Select Add a rule.
Under the rule's conditions, choose an earlier question, how to compare it and the answer. Select Add a condition for more, and choose whether all or any must be true.
- Under Then, choose Show or Hide and the question or page it changes. Select Add an action for more.
- Read the rule's sentence above it to check it says what you mean, then select Preview to try it.
Good to Know
- A rule can only look at questions before what it changes, and jumps only go forward, so a form never loops.
- Answers to questions someone never saw are thrown away, never kept.
- Agoo works the rules out again when a response arrives, and works out totals itself.
- Several templates come with rules already in them, to learn from or change.
If Something Goes Wrong
- You can't add a rule. A rule needs a question people answer and one after it. Add both first.
- An action shows a lock. It needs Forms Plus or Forms Team.
- A question never shows in the preview. Check the rule's sentence: a Hide rule, or a Show rule whose answer never comes up, keeps it hidden.
