Before You Start

You need a domain you own, and access to its DNS settings or someone who has it, such as your IT team. Choose a subdomain that isn't used for anything else, such as visit. or book. in front of your domain.

  1. Go to ConsoleSettingsDomains.

  2. Type Your address, such as visit.yourcompany.com, and select Add.
  3. Under Add this record where your domain's DNS is managed, select Copy beside each Name and Value, and add the record exactly as shown at your DNS provider.

  4. Come back and select Check now, or wait: Agoo checks for you every few minutes.

When the record is found, Agoo issues the security certificate and renews it for you. Owners and Admins are emailed when it's live.

Good to Know

  • Your own domain covers passes, booking pages, your request page, self check-in from posters, approval links and roll-call pages.
  • Your Agoo address keeps working too.
  • On Pro and Enterprise, you can also add a domain for the short links in your tracked QR codes.
  • Many DNS providers add your domain to the name for you, so you may need to type only visit.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • It's still waiting after a few hours. Check the record's name and value match exactly, with no extra dot or your domain typed twice. What Agoo found shows what your DNS gives back.
  • You use the bare domain, such as yourcompany.com. It can't take the record Agoo needs. Use a subdomain instead.
  • You want to stop using a domain. Select Remove beside it, then Stop using it. Your Agoo address carries on as before.
