- Go to agoo.reviews/business, open your page and select Official Numbers.
- Under Add an Official Number or Name, choose A phone number, A WhatsApp number or A MoMo merchant name.
For a number, type it with its country code, such as +233 24 123 4567, and under For choose the branch if it's one branch's own. Select Add It.
- Type the six-digit code into The code we texted to it and select Check the Code. No code? Select Send a new code.
For a MoMo merchant name, type it exactly as a payer sees it, choose the network (MTN, Telecel or AT), add your merchant number and select Add It. A person at Agoo checks it and emails you.
Good to Know
- In the Agoo Reviews app: Business › your page › Official Numbers › Add a number. The code by text is entered there too.
- Free on every level, for claimed pages.
- A mobile number is verified by the code texted to it. The code works for 30 minutes; ask for another a minute later, up to five.
- A landline or a MoMo merchant name is checked by Agoo's team, usually by calling the number or making a small test payment to the merchant name. You're emailed when it's verified, or why it couldn't be.
- Where it shows: verified numbers and names appear on your page and branch pages as Verified, and anyone who checks one at agoo.reviews/check sees it's yours.
- Up to 30 numbers and names a page. Removing one stops it showing and in the check at once.
- Only the page's owner and head-office managers add or remove them.
If Something Goes Wrong
- "Official numbers are for claimed pages." Claim your page first. See Claim Your Business Page.
- The code didn't arrive. Check the number, wait a minute and select Send it again. A landline can't take a text: Agoo's team checks those instead.
- "That code isn't right." Check the latest text. After five wrong tries, ask for a new code.
- Agoo couldn't verify a name. The email says why. Add it again with what helps, such as the merchant number.
