Read the Labels on Reviews

Know what Verified visit, Invited by the business, Paid visit, Phone confirmed and Email confirmed tell you about a review.

  1. Look at the label beside each review on a place's page.
  2. To read only one kind, use the page's review filters: under Label, choose one, such as Verified visits only.

Good to Know

  • Verified visit: Agoo's own records show a check-in or booking at that place. It's the strongest label.
  • Invited by the business (shown as Invited): the business sent its review link to all its customers, with no choosing.
  • Phone confirmed or Email confirmed: the reviewer's account has a confirmed phone number, or only a confirmed email.
  • Paid visit may be shown beside Invited: the invitation came from a payment the business's own payment system reported to Agoo, and Agoo checked the message was really from it. Every customer who paid was invited, with no choosing.
  • Proof seen by Agoo may be added after a question about a review, when Agoo has seen a receipt or similar.
  • A label says what was checked about the person behind a review, never that the review is true. Labels never change a score.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • A review's label seems wrong. Select Report under the review and say what's wrong.
  • You came from a business's QR poster but got no Verified visit label. Anyone can scan a poster, so a review from one carries your own account's label. Verified visit comes only from an invitation after a visit or booking.
