Add Gates and Zones to a Site

List every entrance at a site, and the areas inside it that passes and roll calls should know about.

  1. Go to ConsoleSettingsSites and open the site.

  2. Under Gates, select Add gate, type its Name and choose what it's For, then select Add gate.
  3. Under Zones, type a New zone name, such as "Level 4" or "Maternity ward", and select Add.
  4. Turn on Restricted for any zone that only some visitors may enter.

Good to Know

  • Each kiosk or guard device pairs to one gate, so you always know where someone came in.
  • Vehicle gates show the plate field in guard mode.
  • Zones are optional. They show on passes and roll calls, and passes can be limited to them.
  • To rename a gate, select the pencil beside it.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • You can't remove a gate. Every site needs at least one gate, and a gate with paired devices can't be removed. Unpair its devices in ConsoleDevices first.
  • Guards don't see the plate field. The gate is set for People only. Change it to Vehicles or People and vehicles.
