Go to ConsoleSettingsSites, open the site and find Check-in rules.
Under Walk-ins, choose The host approves every walk-in, The host approves some visitor types (and tick them), or Check walk-ins straight in.
- Under Visitor photo at the kiosk, choose Don't take one, Offer to take one or Always take one.
- Turn on Self check-in from posters or Take visit requests if this site should offer them.
- Choose how long to Wait for the host before reception is alerted.
- Under Automatic check-out, choose At closing time, At a set time or Off.
- Select Save check-in rules.
Good to Know
- A watchlist match always holds a check-in for security, whatever these rules say.
- If the host hasn't answered in time, the visit is flagged at the top of ConsoleVisitors On site, so reception can call them or find someone else.
- Turn on Invited guests wait for their host too for high-security sites. A guest approved before arriving is never asked again.
- Automatic check-out is a safety net. Keep checking people out as they leave, because marshals use the on-site list in an evacuation.
- Take visit requests comes with Starter and above. Once it's on, the site's request page shows here with Copy and Make a QR code.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Visitors are checked out at midnight. At closing time uses the site's opening hours, and none are set yet. Set them under Opening hours.
- Visitors stay on the on-site list overnight. Automatic check-out is Off. Choose At closing time unless every exit has a guard.
- Take visit requests is greyed out. The request-a-visit page comes with Starter and above. See your plan in ConsoleSettingsBilling.
