Find the person marked Absent on ConsoleAttendanceToday, in Daily hours, or on their attendance.
- Select Authorise beside them.
- Choose Authorised, paid, Authorised, unpaid or Unauthorised.
- Write a short note, such as "Confirmed in person", and select Save.
The decision stays with the day, on Daily hours, its export and the timesheet.
Good to Know
- Someone is absent only once their shift has ended with no clock-in. Shifts come with Growth and above.
- Their line manager can decide, and so can whoever manages attendance at their sites. Nobody decides their own.
- Choose Back to unauthorised to undo a decision.
- Each decision is recorded in the audit trail.
If Something Goes Wrong
- They did come in. Don't authorise it. Add the missed clock-in and the day becomes a worked day.
- They were on leave. Record the leave instead, and the day shows as leave.
- Authorise is refused. The day is in an approved timesheet. Reopen it first.
