Check a Number or Link on WhatsApp

   Go to agoo.reviews/check and select Check on WhatsApp. It opens a chat with Agoo with the word CHECK ready to send.

   Add the number, @handle or link after CHECK and send it. For a screenshot, send CHECK first, then the picture.

   Read the answer in the chat before you pay. A link or a screenshot can take up to half a minute.

Good to Know

• The answer is one of four: Fake, Very Likely a Scam, Be Careful or Looks Genuine. It says what we found, what we checked and what we couldn't check, and none of them is a guarantee.
• A number or an @handle gets the same facts as Check Before You Pay: whose page lists it, whether that page is verified, and any scam reports our moderators have confirmed. If we know nothing about it, the answer says so. That isn't a sign it's safe.
• Sending just one thing works too. A number, an @handle, a link or a picture by itself is checked, unless you're already talking to someone on the chat. Then use CHECK, or your message goes to them.
• No account is needed. You get 10 answers a day on WhatsApp, up to 5 of them new links and 3 of them screenshots. Your free account at agoo.reviews/check/scam-checker gives you more, and can check emails too.
• What you send is kept. Like any message to Agoo, what you send, including a picture, and our answer stay in our messages inbox with your number for 24 months after the last message in the chat, and our team can read them. So don't send anything you wouldn't want kept, and blank out anything private you don't need checked.
• This is different from the website. The Scam Checker on agoo.reviews deletes a screenshot as soon as the check is done. If you'd rather nothing was kept, use that instead.
• Who else sees it: our AI provider reads a screenshot for the check, and Meta, WhatsApp's owner, carries the message.
• To remove it, write to support@agoohq.com and we'll erase the chat. Deleting your Agoo Reviews account erases it too, for the account's confirmed number.
• For the limits, we also keep a scrambled form of your number and how many checks it made that day. It goes 48 hours after you last used it, or at once if you send STOP, and it never says what you checked.
• We only ever answer you. We never start a chat with you about a check.

If Something Goes Wrong

• "That's all your checks on WhatsApp for today." You can check more tomorrow, or with your free account on the website. We say this once a day, then we don't answer again until tomorrow.
• "Facebook links need a screenshot" or "X links need a screenshot." They don't let us read their pages. Take a screenshot of the page or the message and send it.
• "We couldn't read that picture." Send it as a photo rather than a document, or try again in a moment. It hasn't been counted.
• You don't get an answer. If you sent STOP before, send START first. Otherwise checking on WhatsApp may be resting, and your message goes to Agoo's team, who can read it and will reply. You can always check at agoo.reviews/check.
• You wanted Agoo's team, not a check. Write your question in words and they'll see it.
• The answer worries you and you've already paid. Call your network straight away, and report a scam so others can be warned.
