Go to ConsoleBookingsBooking types and select New booking type.
- Under Basics, give it a Name guests will recognise, such as "30-minute consultation", and an optional Description.
- Check the Page address. It's the last part of the booking page's link.
- Under Who takes it, choose Me, or Chosen people and pick them.
Under Lengths, pick how long the meeting can be. Under Ways to meet, tick In person, Video call, Phone call or Somewhere else and fill in what each asks for.
- Under Questions, choose the Visitor type whose questions guests answer when they book.
- Under Visibility, choose Public: listed, Public: link only or Private: staff only.
- Select Save booking type.
With Take bookings on, a public booking type's page works at once. Book a test meeting with your own phone or email to check it.
Good to Know
- Owners and Admins manage every booking type. Hosts can create and edit their own.
- Times on the page come from each host's hours in Availability, less closed days, public holidays and bookings already made.
- In-person bookings become expected visits, so the guest arrives with a pass and reception knows they're coming.
- Don't ask for ID numbers or health details on a booking page: its questions are public.
- Changing the Page address later breaks links already shared. QR codes made from the booking type follow it.
If Something Goes Wrong
- The page says you aren't taking bookings. Turn Take bookings on for the booking type, and check its Visibility isn't Private: staff only.
- No times show on the page. The host has no hours set. Set them in ConsoleBookingsAvailability.
- Save doesn't work. Fix the fields marked in red, such as a missing site for In person or a video link that doesn't start with https://.
