Good to Know

  • Go to the business first. Almost every regulator asks you to, and many ask for proof that you did. Keep a copy, with the date.
  • A scam is different. If you sent money to someone you can't reach, call your network or bank at once, then see Report a Scam.
  • Agoo Reviews isn't a regulator. It can't order a business to do anything and doesn't decide complaints. A review helps the next person decide, but it isn't a complaint.
  • The guides give their sources. Each one lists the Act or the regulator's page it comes from, with the date it was updated. Contacts are as each body publishes them.
  • It's general information. The guides explain what the law and the regulators say. They can't say how your own case will end.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • A regulator's number or page has changed. Use the contact on its own website, and tell us so we can correct the guide.
  • Your sector isn't listed. Read How to Complain Effectively in Ghana, which covers what to write and where complaints go, or ask the business which body regulates it.
  • A regulator's site won't open. Government sites are sometimes down. Try again later, or call the number in the guide.
