Type your Ghana Card number, or scan or photograph a passport or another ID, when the kiosk asks.

  1. When the kiosk asks which ID you have, choose it. The Ghana Card comes first.
  2. For a Ghana Card, tap Type your Ghana Card number and type it on the keypad: GHA, then nine digits and one more.
  3. Check the number when the kiosk shows it back, then tap Yes, continue, or Change it to fix it.
  4. For a passport or another ID, follow the screen: hold it up to the camera when asked, then type or check its number.

Good to Know

  • A Ghana Card is never photographed. Its number is recorded and sealed, and staff see only the last four characters.
  • The kiosk records the ID you give. It doesn't check who you are.
  • Only the visitor types that need ID ask for it. Admins add an ID document question to a visitor type's form in ConsoleSettingsVisitor forms.
  • On a kiosk in a browser, ID numbers are typed. A passport or other ID is photographed only if the form asks.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • The kiosk won't accept the number. Check every character against your card and type it again.
  • You don't have the ID it asks for. Tap Use another ID, or ask at reception.
  • The camera can't read your passport. Hold the photo page flat and still in the frame, or type the number instead.
