Import People from a Spreadsheet

   Go to ConsolePeopleDirectory and select Import CSV.

   Select Download template and fill in one row per person.

   Save the file as CSV (UTF-8).

   Select Choose a CSV file and pick your file. Agoo shows what each line would do before anything changes.

   Check the preview. If some rows have problems, fix them in your file and upload it again, or tick the box to skip them.

   Select Import and invite to send invitations to people with a role, or Import only, invite later.

Good to Know

• A row with an email Agoo already knows updates that person. A new email adds someone.
• Use site names exactly as they appear in ConsoleSettingsSites.
• A department name that doesn't exist yet is made for you.
• Each file can hold up to 500 people.
• On Free and Starter you add people one at a time with Add person.

If Something Goes Wrong

• A row says a site wasn't found. Check the spelling against your sites, and separate several sites with semicolons.
• Accents or symbols look wrong. Save the file again as CSV (UTF-8), not plain CSV.
• Import is greyed out. Some rows have problems and you haven't chosen to skip them, the file would go over a plan limit, or it changes nothing. Read the message on each line.
