Go to ConsolePeopleDirectory and open someone who reports to you.
- Choose the History tab and select Propose a change.
- Change what should be different, such as the Job title, Grade or Department.
- Set the day it Takes effect and say why. Whoever approves it sees your reason.
- Select Send for approval.
You're told when it's approved or declined.
Good to Know
- You can propose changes for anyone who reports to you, directly or further down the line, whatever your role.
- You can propose job details only, never personal details or numbers.
- A line manager never approves a change to a job alone. HR, or the person your organisation names, always has the last word.
- Your proposal shows in ConsolePeopleChange requests while it waits. Call off withdraws it.
If Something Goes Wrong
- There's no Propose a change button. The person doesn't report to you in the directory. Ask HR to set their Line manager.
- It says to say why. A reason is needed so whoever approves it knows. Add a sentence and send it again.
