Before You Start
If you saved backup codes, or have a spare authenticator, use those instead: choose Use a backup code when Agoo asks for your code.
- Sign in with your password or an email code. When Agoo asks for your six-digit code, choose Lost your phone?.
- Select Email me a link, open the link Agoo sends to your sign-in address, and choose Yes, it's me.
Wait for someone who knows you to approve: an Owner or Admin of your organisation checks it's really you, in person, on a video call or by calling a number they already have.
- Back on the sign-in page, select Finish the reset.
- Add your new phone as your authenticator straight away.
Good to Know
- Finishing removes every authenticator on your account and signs you out everywhere else.
- If nobody in your organisation can approve, for example because you're the Owner, Agoo checks your identity itself, and the reset waits 24 hours for your safety.
- Agoo never checks a Ghana Card by looking at it.
- You're emailed at each step. Agoo will never ask for your password or a two-step code.
If Something Goes Wrong
- You found your phone. Choose I've found my phone: withdraw this.
- The link has expired or was used. Ask again from the sign-in page.
- You didn't ask for a reset. Use the stop link in the email, and change your password: someone knows it.
- "Your last request ran out. You can ask again." Start again with Lost your phone?.
