Go to ConsoleSettingsSecurity.
- Under Two-step verification, turn on Require it for everyone.
From then on, everyone in your organisation sets up an authenticator app the next time they sign in.
Good to Know
- Owners and Admins always use an authenticator app, whether or not you require it for everyone.
- It applies however people sign in, including with Google or Microsoft.
- Kiosks and API keys aren't affected.
- If your organisation is in a group that requires two-step verification for everyone, the group's rule applies to you too.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Someone lost the phone with their authenticator. They can use one of their backup codes. If they have none, see Lost authenticators and account recovery on the same page.
- Turning it off gives an error. Your group may require it. The group's Owner can change the rule.
