Ask About Your Official Register Record

See what your page shows from an official register, ask to be added if you're on one, ask for a correction, or appeal a decision.

  • Plans: Every Reviews level

  • 2 min read
  1. Go to agoo.reviews/business, open your page and select Official Registers.
  2. To be added, select Ask Us to Add a Record, choose the register, and say where you are on it.
  3. To change something, select Ask for a Correction or Ask Us to Look Again on the record, say what's wrong, and add a link to the register if you can.

  4. Select Send to Agoo Reviews. A person answers on this page, and we email head office.

Good to Know

  • It's free on every level, and it can't be bought. It changes nothing about your score, your reviews or where you appear.
  • Not being on a register says nothing about you. A page without a record looks the same as any other, and nothing on it mentions registers.
  • What your page says: the register's name, your entry, what the register says and the date we checked, with a link. It also says the regulator doesn't endorse anyone and has no connection with Agoo Reviews, so don't describe it as "verified by" a regulator.
  • Which registers: the Pharmacy Council, the Bank of Ghana, the National Insurance Commission, the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Gaming Commission. The Registrar of Companies isn't open yet, because it has no public record to link to.
  • We look again by a set date. If we can't by then, or your entry's own date passes, the record comes off until a person looks. That isn't a finding about you. Once you've renewed, ask us to look again.
  • We only say what the register says. If it changes, your page changes after a person has looked. If you think the register itself is wrong, that's for the regulator to correct.
  • If a register says something like "Revoked" and a senior moderator decides your page should say so, we email head office and tell you how to appeal.
  • Appeals: a person's decision can be appealed once, within 30 days, and a different person decides, within five working days.
  • Only head office asks. Anyone on your team can read this page. Your page must be claimed: if it isn't, claim it or use the contact page.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • "Tell us what you'd like us to look at, in 20 to 2,000 characters." Say a little more, such as your licence number.
  • "You've already asked about this." We'll answer the first one, and a decision can be appealed once.
  • "You have five requests waiting." We'll answer those first.
  • "Appeals are open for 30 days after a decision." Ask for a correction instead, especially if something has changed.
