- Go to agoo.reviews/business, open your page and select Developers.
Give the key a Name, such as "Till system", and tick What it may do: Read reviews, scores, invitations and changes, Reply to reviews or Invite customers and make links.
- Tick the branches it may use under Branches (none ticked: every branch), and tick Live key for real use.
- Select Make the key and copy Your new key into your system's settings at once. It's shown only this once.
For webhooks, enter the Endpoint address, tick the Events to send and select Add the endpoint. Copy Your signing secret.
- Select Send a test event to check your endpoint receives it.
Good to Know
- Live keys and webhooks come with Reviews Business. A test key works on every level: it reads your real reviews and checks every reply or invitation without saving or sending it.
- Keys belong to your page, not to a person, and work only from your servers. Never put one in a website's code or an app.
- A key sees only your page and the branches you ticked. Select Revoke to stop one at once.
- Webhooks are signed with your signing secret, retried if your endpoint is down, and can be turned off with Turn off.
- Your catalogue (What We Offer) can be read and kept in step through the API with Reviews Business, and your cases read. A key limited to some branches can't change the catalogue.
- Events include reviews, replies, questions, facts changes, items added, changed or removed, and cases opened, changed or closed.
- To invite every customer who pays, see Connect a Payment Source.
- To catch up after an outage, ask the API for every change since the last one you have, including reviews that left your page.
- The full API reference, a quick start and webhook examples are at docs.agoohq.com.
If Something Goes Wrong
- "Live key (with Reviews Business)" can't be ticked. Live keys come with Reviews Business. See Choose a Level of Review Tools.
- You lost a key. It can't be shown again. Make a new one and revoke the old one.
- A live key stopped working. Your page moved off Reviews Business, or the key was revoked. Test keys keep working.
- The test event didn't arrive. Check the endpoint address is public, uses https and returns a 2xx answer within 15 seconds.
