Import a Roster from a Spreadsheet
Bring shifts, or people on patterns, into a site's roster from a CSV file, as drafts.

Go to ConsoleAttendanceRosters, choose the site and open Import.
- Under Start from a template, download Shifts or People on patterns, and fill it in.
- Select Choose a file, or drop the CSV file onto the page, then Check the rows.
- Read What would come in: the good rows, the problems and the warnings. Fix the file and check again if you need to.
- Select the import button below the rows, such as Import 24 shifts as drafts, then publish from Planner.
Good to Know
- Name people by their email or employee number. A row with no one named makes an open shift.
- With a template named, its times are used when start and end are blank. New times with no template make one.
- Nothing is imported until you say so.
If Something Goes Wrong
- A row isn't recognised. The email or employee number doesn't match anyone at this site. Check it in People.
- The file is too big. Split it and import it in parts.
- You don't see Import. Importing needs the right to manage attendance at the site.
