Set Your Overtime Rules

Choose when hours count as overtime, whether it needs approval, and how punches near a shift are counted.

  1. Go to ConsoleAttendanceSettings and find Overtime.

  2. Set the Daily hours before overtime and Weekly hours before overtime.
  3. Turn Daily overtime and Weekly overtime on or off.
  4. Choose whether Overtime counts only once it's approved.

  5. Set how early arrivals count around a shift, rounding, and Count night time if you pay a night allowance. Choose when the rules start and select Save.

Good to Know

  • Ghana's defaults are 8 hours a day and 40 a week, with approval on.
  • The Labour Act sets no overtime rate. Agoo counts the hours, and your pay codes and payroll pay them.
  • Rounding goes to the nearest, never one way only, so nobody loses time to it.
  • Groups on different hours can follow a work-rule set. Overtime approval stays the same for everyone.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • Overtime isn't showing. Approval is on and the extra time is still waiting. Decide it on Overtime.
  • Everyone's overtime changed. Check the date the new rules start under Versions of the rules.
