Set Pass Rules for a Visit
Make a pass work only once, only in a window around the visit time, or only at certain gates.
- Plans: Growth and up

Go to ConsoleVisitors and select Invite visitor, or open a visit that's still expected and select Change.
- Find Pass rules. They start from the visitor type's defaults.
- Under Entry window, choose how Early by up to and Late by up to the pass admits around the arriving time.
- Tick Single use for one entry (one a day on a pass over several days).
- Under Gates, choose the gates the pass admits at. None chosen means any gate at the site.
- Select Send invitation, or Save changes on an existing visit.
Good to Know
- Kiosks and guard devices check the same rules from the pass itself, even with no network.
- To go back to the visitor type's settings, choose Use the type's defaults.
- Admins set each visitor type's default rules in ConsoleSettingsVisitor forms.
- Moving to a lower plan never changes passes already sent.
If Something Goes Wrong
- The rules are greyed out. Single use, entry windows and allowed gates come with Growth and above.
- "This site has no gates yet." The pass admits at the entrance. An admin adds gates to the site in ConsoleSettingsSites.
- A guest arrives outside the rules. At the desk you're told why the pass doesn't admit. Choose Let them in anyway if that's right; the override is noted on the visit and in the audit trail. A cancelled, declined or missed visit can't be overridden.
