Add Shift Templates

Set up each shift you run at a site, with its times, grace, break, colour and label.

  1. Go to ConsoleAttendanceRosters, choose the site and open Shift templates.

  2. Select Add template.
  3. Give it a Name, such as "Day ward", and when it Starts and Ends. An end before the start runs overnight.
  4. Set the Grace, the Break and a Colour. Add a label, such as "Ward 3", if it helps.
  5. Select Save.

Good to Know

  • A shift's break can follow The standard day's break, or be its own: No break, paid or unpaid.
  • Changing a template's times changes the shifts made from it from then on. Shifts already on the roster keep theirs.
  • A name, colour or label change shows on future shifts at once.
  • You can archive a template once no pattern or weekly fixed shift uses it.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • "Make a shift template first". The planner and patterns need at least one template. Add one here.
  • You can't archive a template. A pattern still uses it. Change the pattern first.
