Release Held Pay Accounts

Check a person's pay accounts with them after they said a change wasn't them, then let payroll pay into them again.

When someone selects This wasn't me about a pay account change, all their accounts are held. Payroll pays into none of them until HR checks each one.

  1. Speak to the person by phone or in person, using contact details you already hold, and confirm where they should be paid.
  2. Go to ConsolePeopleDirectory, open them and choose the HR record tab.

  3. If an account is wrong, select Change and correct it.
  4. Select Mark checked beside each account you've confirmed.

Each account is released as soon as it's marked checked.

Good to Know

  • HR never checks their own accounts. Another HR person or the Owner does.
  • You can also mark a new account checked once you've confirmed it with the person. The record shows Checked.
  • Holding the accounts also signed the person out everywhere else. Suggest they change their password and turn on two-step verification.

If Something Goes Wrong

  • There's no Mark checked button. It's for HR and the Owner, and not on your own record.
  • The person can't remember changing anything. Treat it as unauthorised: correct the account and ask them to secure their sign-in before you release it.
